CRISIS (La Salle): Two years before his ordination to the priesthood, his parents died within 7 months apart. There was conflict between his dream of becoming a priest and his duty as the eldest to take care of his younger brothers and sisters. His most trusted advisers during that time were Fr. Nicolas Roland and Fr. Barre.

YOUR CRISIS: Write your crisis...

4. ENCOUNTER (Jesus): Baptism by John; Fasting and temptation in the dessert. It was after these events when Jesus started his ministry.

LAST WORDS (Jesus): “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” (Luke 23:46) Jesus was obedient to the end, and his final word before his death on the Cross was a prayer to his Father entrusting his future. LAST WORDS (La Salle): “I adore in all things the will of God in my regard.” These were De La Salle’s last words before he died in April 7, 1719. His vision was to make Christian education available to the poor and to continue this mission by all those who are inspired by De La Salle.
